Can someone please confirm the renewal fee required for EAD application (I-765).
My I-485 receipt date is Aug 2, 2007., notice date Sep '07.
However, my AOS application was filed under the old fee structure ($395) pursuant to July 2007 bulletin.
My company's attorney has submitted the application without fee, and USCIS has issued a receipt notice...i.e., they have not rejected the application.
In 2008, I paid the renewal fee when I applied on my own.
My understanding is that fee is required as per I-765 form instructions (page 7). My EAD is expiring mid of August and have been waiting, but not sure what to do

TIN is not SSN. Employer would need SSN.
I guess we need another tracker for those who received EAD, but no SSN.
hope you are.. such issues could be taken up in appropriate forums for SSN or something like that. I thought IV is discussion issues with immigration now we are trying to discuss every other topic here. May be IP this kind of question because they already deal with all this kind of stuff.

FYI: Ours went to R Williams on July 2nd/NSC and there is thread on this forum if you are interested. We heard nothing. According to the posts, if any of R Williams cases had any action, they happened at other service centers. You person might be sending the submittals around as well if they were received on July 2nd. Hang in there :cool:

Smerchas...Are you sure about what this? From what I remember, you have to be in the country when you apply for your AP...But there is no necessity that you need to be here when it is approved !
Technically, you can ask your attorney or the person who is living at the address where the AP document would be sent by the USCIS, and request them to forward the approved AP to your then current address...That way, you don't have to stay in the country while USCIS processes your application...
Ofcourse, the flip side is, if your AP is denied for any reason, you would have to go to the US consulate in wherever country you are and request the special admission letter...

Thanks! I was worried because they may reject my application because if the PD is August, it is not qualified under the July VB. But it seems that because I am qualified anytime the VB shows current, I can apply in August without issue regarding PD.
why can't you just file it right away? i really suggest filing your application asap or within july so you'll get an earlier pd.

I applied I-485 in July 2007. But didn't apply for EAD/AP. I applied for EAD for the first time now, few days back and I was asked by my lawyer a check of $340 as application fee.

Even I have received the RFEs as well on pending I-485 cases for me and my wife. My PD is Mar 2005. I am also wondering about the RFEs. I'll share mine as soon as I get those.

We are in AOS pending status.iam on EAD.
After seeing the economy Iam planning to send my wife to india. She is pregnant ( 2 months).
Now I have job and in future if I get into any trouble with project Etc.. I need to pay the medical insurance and will have lot of financial issues.
How difficult is to bring new infant to US from India while our AOS is pending and apply 485.
( Visito visa Etc..)
Any suggestions.

You are NOT on a non-immigrant visa now and you are in AOS, Hence, if you kid is born outside the US, you would not be able to bring him/her on a non-immigrant dependent visa (H4). The only option, as a layman, I see is that file 485 for your kid in the consulate once your PD becomes current or file follow-to-join once gc is approved. Others can throw light on this!

Just heard this from my friend. His case is exactly the same (I140-NSC approved, July 2nd 9:01 R.Mickels filer). His got transferred to Texas and got receipts last week. No EAD's yet. Got receipt for FP date today.

Get back on H1b ASAP and do not wait for the Appeal decision. Have them file for a CP H1b approval if not EOS and get a visa and return back on H1b. Your EAD is invalid and you need $$$ to fight a case and remain in status.

The reason why EB2 India is moving so fast is because people with 2001 PDs are stuck in BECs. Once they come to apply for I-140/I-485, EB2 India PD will retrogress to 2001 again. So the progress you are watching is an illusion.
That's a good point. It will be terrible to see the dates retrogress again. There's no end to this.

My sister in law will come to US using H4 visa, the problem is the health insurance does not want to cover her pregnancy since the pregnancy is already 6 months.
Any idea how to get insurance for her ?

Numbers USA cares about total number of immigrants per year.
If you move visa numbers from EB1, EB2 and EB3 to EB5 with fancy tactics like hard country quota(What Specter and Frist bills are doing), they dont really care.
They will be happy if the GRAND TOTAL of all greencards per year is brought down from number X to number Y. The grand total is a total of all Greencards: Family Based, Employment based, Diversity, Refugee etc.
